b2b marketing newsletters

Almost every B2B brand has a newsletter today. And email marketing, being the highest ROI-producing strategy, makes businesses send variations for specific use cases.

Take HubSpot, for example. It sends out many newsletters focused on different themes:

Sales, marketing, community, blog, product, etc.

You’ll also find a dedicated newsletter for each audience segment targeting different industries and use cases. Here’s one for e-commerce marketing:

Although the number of newsletters is increasing daily, the time we can dedicate to reading them isn’t. But with so much noise around, how do you find insightful newsletters that really help you stay updated on industry trends?

You don’t have to. I already researched and found eight of the best B2B marketing newsletters with valuable insights and unique approaches.

Relax, subscribe, and upgrade your B2B marketing knowledge with these newsletters.

8 insightful B2B marketing newsletters to stay updated on industry trends

Before compiling this list, my research included reaching out to B2B professionals, vetting each newsletter for uniqueness by reading a few issues, and checking for basic parameters like readability, structure, and interactiveness.

This list includes newsletters after the vetting process, and I love reading.

1. Marketing Profs

marketing profs newsletter

Marketing Profs tops this list because it got the highest votes from the people I asked. It’s a valuable and popular resource for any B2B marketer looking to learn advanced marketing strategies and trends. If you haven’t heard of Marketing Profs, you must have heard of its Head of Content, Ann Handley.

She’s a marketing legend with years of experience and wisdom to share with Marketing Profs’ subscribers. They get a mix of original and curated content, including insights, strategies, and the latest industry trends.

Magee Clegg, CEO of Cleartail Marketing, loves reading Marketing Profs’ issues. He says, “What sets their newsletter apart is the way they delve into niche topics and provide actionable insights with a unique, engaging writing style. They consistently address pressing issues that B2B marketers face in the current marketplace, making their content highly relevant and timely.”

It’s always a long read, but each newsletter has a table of contents for easy navigation. You can skip to the sections you’d like to read:

Not only their newsletter but the entire website is helpful. Regular events, free resources, and guidance from industry experts are invaluable for B2B marketers. Matt Little says, “This site is a treasure for useful advice and tactics. It covers many marketing subjects, including social media trends and content marketing, and it is supported by research and guidance from industry experts.”

2. Growth Memo

The Growth Memo Newsletter

Growth Memo is an influential marketing newsletter by Kevin Indig that breaks down advanced marketing strategies after studying 7-8 figure funnels. Kevin gained immense marketing and business operations knowledge after working with billion-dollar brands like Atlassian, Snapchat, Shopify, and G2.com.

But the best part is his approach to the fast-changing marketing world. Blake Smith, Marketing Manager at Clock On, says, “Kevin's always a couple of steps ahead in the game, making 'Growth Memo' a must-read for staying sharp in B2B marketing.”

I’ve been reading Growth Memo for months, and I love how Kevin simplifies complex SEO topics for beginners. Most of his newsletters are based on personal experiences, actionable strategies, and funnel breakdowns of successful businesses with proper citations and resources.

Blake adds, “It's not your typical marketing spiel; his insights combine in-depth SEO knowledge with a broader growth/marketing perspective. Every issue feels like a masterclass in understanding how search engines tick and then using that intel to drive B2B growth strategies.”

3. Really Good Emails

Really Good Emails

Really Good Emails is the newsletter you subscribe to when you want to get inspiration for your email marketing efforts. Each newsletter is well-curated, with different sections prompting you to check out new email templates they add each week.

But more valuable than the newsletter is its collection of newsletters. Categorized based on industries, seasonal, behavioral, and many more, you can find newsletter inspiration for almost any type.

4. The Hustle & Trends

the hustle

The Hustle is a brilliant newsletter started by Sam Parr, now acquired by HubSpot, educating subscribers about the latest trends in business and technology in 5-minute byte-sized newsletters.

Matt Little voted for The Hustle: "Their content delves deeply into the most recent developments in technology, marketing, and entrepreneurship, keeping me informed without making me feel like a drowning maze of acronyms.”

If you loved The Hustle, then you must check Trends by The Hustle:

Trends TLDR Trends by The Hustle

It’s similar to The Hustle but more focused on the latest trends, experimentation, and actionable tips. Daniel Bunn, Director of DB IT, says, “Their approach to collating company growth and current trends in various, often niche, industries is amazing. I've directly applied insights from this newsletter to my business decisions.”

Daniel also says, “What makes this newsletter stand out is its ability to deliver short, yet detailed analyses of companies and industries, complete with core figures and graphs, making complex information easily digestible in an email format.”

5. Marketing Examples

Marketing Examples

Marketing Examples is a perfect resource for those who want to improve their marketing campaigns. Harry teaches everything from content to branding to customer retention. The best part is you’ll find examples for each point he would make.

Charlie Worrall, Digital Marketing Manager at Imaginaire Digital, says, “Harry sends some really interesting examples of how brands have done well or how they could have done better each time for several different types of content. Sometimes, it'll be their copy or the images they use. Whatever the case, Harry always has a great angle to write about and offers actionable tips and advice. I think the use of examples to illustrate how to improve is really useful to me.”

The website is a collection of outstanding examples, but with the newsletter, you’ll get new strategies, more examples, and copywriting tips each week.

6. Cognism

cognism

Cognism is a valuable newsletter for sales and marketing professionals for advanced sales and demand generation strategies. It’s a weekly curated newsletter with the latest trends, strategies, tools, authoritative content, expert interviews, etc.

Tierney Pretzar, Growth Lead at Numeric, says, “I love how they segment their newsletters so you get exactly what you want (one for sales leaders, one for demand gen, etc.,) and they are focused on bringing in 3rd party content + have a fantastic brand voice that speaks directly to marketers pain points.”

Before testing strategies, it’s crucial to find and validate them. But finding strategies is an overwhelming task — Cognism finds and validates those strategies so you can implement them in your business directly.

But if you’re a beginner, it’s great for learning the basics. Goran Kezic, Lead Strategist at Play Media, says, “Cognism is great when you are starting and need to learn the fundamentals. Their blog is like a road map that you follow so that you don't get lost on your B2B journey.”

7. Adaptify.ai

adaptify newsletter

Adaptify.ai is an AI-powered SEO solution for modern businesses, and its newsletter is on this list because it’ll help you master AI-powered SEO to get better results organically.

We regularly showcase case studies like the one we did for Beacon Digital Marketing, where the integration of our automated SEO solution led to an article ranking on page 1 for 5 high-value terms within days, and a 40% monthly growth in impressions.”

Dominic understands that his target audience is busy B2B professionals, so the newsletter is focused on actionable tips, mainly showcasing how they achieved something. He says, “Our subscribers appreciate these concrete examples that demonstrate the power of AI in action. For instance, we recently shared tips on how we increased home page impressions by 22% for NachaTech.”

8. B2B SaaS Reviews

B2B SaaS Reviews

User-generated content is critical to a customer’s buying journey, so much so that UGC increases engagement by 25%. And that’s exactly why you might’ve noticed UGC as ad campaigns instead of regular product-focused ads. B2B SaaS Reviews help businesses grow their brand recognition by leveraging reviews.

The newsletter will provide you with strategies, the latest research reports, and expert advice on how to grow your brand using reviews. For example, the State of B2B Software Reviews Report 2023 shares key findings like:

  • 61% of B2B SaaS buyers said a business software product's average user rating (score) is “very important.”

  • B2B Buyers don’t look for only one of two things in reviews; most look for four things: product quality (68%), ease of use (62%), cost-effectiveness (53%), and product security (53%).

UGC is the future of online shopping, and B2B SaaS Reviews can be a brilliant resource to move forward in the right direction.
